Spiritual Exercises of ECK

Every time you walk through a doorway today, whether at work or at home, know that on the inner planes you are walking through a doorway to heaven. And that is every doorway, as long as you recognize this in your consciousness.

For example, suppose you have a difficult meeting with your boss or coworkers. As you walk through the door into the meeting, know that you are entering the room with a newer, higher consciousness.

When you get inside the room, pause a moment and ask yourself, How is my higher awareness going to affect me? Will I be more relaxed? More tolerant and patient? Will I trust Divine Spirit to provide me with the answers and guidance I need?

If you experiment with this technique, you will find it changes your viewpoint and lifts you higher and higher in awareness throughout the day.

The past, present, and future are all one. They are a continuum. The past still exists now, the future is here and now, and as is the present. They’re all mixed, back and forth, in and out.

But with the logical mind we separate the continuum of life into three separate parts: past, present, and future. And we build walls between.

In building these walls, we sometimes limit ourselves, limit the potential of what can occur through the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Sometime in contemplation or in prayer, maybe as a spiritual exercise, in your mind’s eye just see a room with three distinct parts. A semicircular room where you are at the point of the room and the room curves out around you, divided into three parts. You can look into each one: past, present, and future. But there is a wall separating each of the three parts.

Dissolve those two walls between those three parts and see what happens.

Do that for a few nights before you go to sleep. Say, “I dissolve the walls that try to break life into parts.” Because from the higher state of consciousness, you realize that life is not divided into parts. Life is all one.

Life is love, God is love, and Soul exists because God loves It. If you can get this overview that everything is a wholeness—that everything is right and in its proper place at this time—then you will have gained spiritually. You will have a viewpoint in life that is different from 99 percent of people.

Think about a current challenge in your life or a spiritual question you may have.

In contemplation, imagine there are two distinct rooms of knowledge related to that issue. The first room contains information from the physical senses. Picture this room as clearly as you can; it contains all the facts of matter, energy, space, and time related to your concern.

The second room holds insights from the inner senses, beyond the human consciousness. Sing HU as you see yourself entering this second room. Let the song of HU open your inner vision to find the greater experience of the divine reality.

In your daily life, new insights may come to you in unexpected ways.

There is a stream of consciousness from the mind that constantly goes through you. Chanting the HU keeps the stream pure.

Singing this sacred prayer song, this ancient name of God, purifies the thoughts which lead to your actions. It makes for a happier, more harmonious life.

You’ll find by practicing this spiritual exercise every day upliftment comes as you are ready for it.

Whenever somebody is making it difficult for you at work, simply sing HU quietly to yourself.  Let the other person vent his rage, and just wait and see what the ECK will do to work out the situation.

You’ll find that you know what to say or not to say, when to speak or be quiet, when and how to keep out of the individual’s way, or whether it will be necessary to appeal to the person’s supervisor to get him off your back.

When you run into these things, by all means sing HU to open yourself as a channel for God.  You don’t use the HU to change the other person’s state of consciousness; you use it for your protection.

It surrounds you with a blanket of white light, and whatever is thrown at you must return to the sender.  The person who attacks you often finds himself so busy with his own problems that he no longer has time to continue his attacks on you.
